Thanks for the info.

I do have to say I find all these claims of extra horse power really suspect (see lable on bottle). In theory, your MAFS could be so bad, that they will trip your SES light and cause you to be in limp mode. Does that mean after cleaning them you went from 200hp to the full 400 hp of the engine???

Given that one can get original Bosch VW MAFS for about $115 and fit them without any issues in the M5, I personally would just replace my MAFSs rather than try and clean them...

Yeah, I agree with you. It is nice to be able to clean the MAFS, but since we now have an inexpensive source for replacment MAFS, cleaning is probably not cost effective considering the time it will take to get the job done.
