DME Fried can anybody Help

Thurday my car died while I was on my way back to work. I had it toed to the BMW dealer in my area and they had no idea what was wrong with my car. So after exploring the TIS I figure out that I had problem with the dme so I pulled to out and I could smell something was wrong so I open it up and yep the chips on they left side where fried. I dont trust my local dealer seeing the could figure out what was wrong with my car after 5 hours. So is there any way I could get the DME and program it myself and scyn it up with the EWS so I can start the car myself.
