Default BP Scandinavia presents our M5 project.

Hello everyone and welcome to the board, I would like to take a moment to present the M5 that will next week get a TWIN S/C kit, the car will work as a rolling showcase for the kit.

The car is a low milage facelifted 00' and is a "tru-beast" already with Kelleners sport cams, slightly reworked heads, K&N CAI, Kelleners exhaust, Kelleners ECU software, Kelleners Short-shift, Porsche GT3 brakes on 380mm discs front and 322 rear, ACS electronic adjustable suspension, Hartge Nova 20" wheels, it's dynoed to 456 hp / 558 Nm "as is" today.

Progress of the project with pictures will be posted here on a weekly basis, I will start to with posting pictures of its current state.

Hi!

Re the Milage. Are you sure it's a low milage car? As I'm 99% sure I know the car from it's first owner(was it imported as new from Germany by it's first owner?) and I think it was closing in on 100000 km and has been Nürburgringed quite often even before it went to it's second owner two or three years ago. Thouroghly going through the engine before starting any modifications might be wise.

Regards,

History is checked and verified as far as I can.

The car is a Swedish sold BMW by BMW and I've located all previous owners (3) - might of course still be f**cked by anyone of them.
but documentation and a two different sources that I trust verifies
previous owners as serious (or even extremely serious).

so not much more to do, I will let BMW check out the LCM also.

I know the first owner, he was on out M Euro Trip in 2000. It is Swedish sold and it is in excellent shape. You do not have to have any worries here.

Thank you Gustav, got it confirmed from other sources stated the same, drove it 800 km/rs yesterday and I must say it is a truly great car, not as fast at the 540is (yet) better response though and a bit (or two) more sophisticated and quiet.

Also found an article from some old magazine on it that I will scan here - fun to have some history on the car. also got receipts from the Kelleners, and Schnitzer jobs & parts - thats always nice.

so everything seems 100%

We are still missing the Intercoolers for the S/C kit - so the S/C fitting is postponed to next weekend.

Some installation pictures; please note we have not started the "Cleanup phase" yet

What u see is 610 HP with twin Rotrex C-74's, Twin W/A Intercoolers
all very descrete installed.

Premier 402 meters and some slalom in Gävle/Sweden the coming saturday.

Note the mix of hoses going back and forth, plus the general messy look. we can call this a "beta" version.....

Anyway the POWER is AWESOME !!

That is great. Do you by any chance know the offsets? It may be useful for others trying to install wheels of the same dimensions.

Cheers, Daniel.

Yeah. Hopefully the offsets aren't proprietary like DPE's. Or, one could get a hold of one of the wheels and measure the offset, if thats possible.

Truly amazing. I'd be interested in seeing cost breakdowns of each car. Especially the 540.

Please post more when you can.
