Back in a 5

My last visit to this site was in June 2007, not long after I sold my E39 530d and bought a 330ci clubsport.

Well, 2 years on and I have just returned to the E39 world with a 530i this time. Still ti silver with black leather like my old one but with a few more options this time.

So far, 1 month in and the only mod has been a bmc air filter.

any other uk owners still here?

I'm also running a e39 touring now. 528i 97 model. Replaced the oem headlamps. Looking to source some sportier alloys. 19" if I can. I also intend to lower the car at some stage.

What mods do you intend on doing on the 530i sport?

Did you not have a Black 540i sport before?

What front bumber is that, in your avatar pic?

Hi thanks for the reply. I haven't checked the forum in a while (been over on bmw5.co.uk, etc)

I am not sure which front bumber it is on the pic, just really liked the look of it. Maybe the site owner Daniel can help out on that one?

At the moment my car is just going to go with the BMC filter. It had a few issues that meant it bounced back and forth to the dealership when first purchased. In the end a new autobox was fitted and now I can enjoy the car again.

My previous E39 was a silver 530d so perhaps you are thinking of another member with the 540i.

Hope you find the alloys for your Touring btw.
