Default New to Forum: Need some advice on a BMW X3

Greetings all,

Well, as the topic states I am new here and looking for some advice. I have the possibility of purchasing a 2005 BMW X3 2.5. The vehicle has 25,000 miles.

My question is the following. Are there any known problems with these vehicles in regards to reliability? I know BMW's overall all pretty reliable as I have owned several sport wagons / sedans but I have never really read up on the SUV's . Any input on problems these vehicles are known to have or reliability issues would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

I don't have direct X3 experience, but in general, the most important things are BMW dealer service records, small number of previous owners, and low miles.

Cheers, Daniel.

Some minor problems with X3 is that some of the cabin materials used in earlier BMW X3 models do not meet the premium standards et by the 3 Series, so those expecting a luxurious, upscale environment may be disappointed.
