welcome whiliville im no machanic buy any means but does your temp gauge ever go above halfway on the gauge say into the red zone if does it could be possible your coolant is low you have a leak in rad or water pump failling.as to why your aircon not working could be a number of things as you say you should get red hot air at 32 degrees. Its funny you say this because i also drive a l200 warrior and the same is happening at the moment hot air comming and going due to a leak somewhere in the radiator or possible faughty water pump as toping up rad every two days.I hope this half helps.

Hi Whiliville, go back to the person or firm you bought it off and see if they will do something for you. If not check to see if the radiator is physical hot after a run, lift the bonnet and check the top radiator tank be careful could be hot by placing your hand on it. if it isn;t then it could be the thermostat jammed open. the engine will take far longer to reach normal operating temp. also check out the state of all the other hose to see weather they are hot or cold, you may find something out that way. hope this helps and the best of luck, come back when you have solved the problem and tell us all cheers allan

yep its probably gone be the termostat who's broken and the waterpump stays open.if you stop the car does the tempgauge starts rising to the optimal temp and when you start off again it falls back to about 60c°?? its not so an expensive repair i think . termostat is about 70$$ whitout work offcourse . so dont be to affraid.good luck with your new car.
you can always check www.RealOEM.com/bmw/ .

Hi there, I had a similar problem a couple of years ago with an E34 that I bought. Didnt worry me in the summer but in the winter BRRRRRRR!. Turned out a previous owner had butchered the thermostat (you can't just remove the stat as its part of the housing). Any I bought a new one from GSF and happy days.
