Wrapped in a flawless carbon weave, the intake is light weight, and designed to prevent heat from penetrating the shield thus keeping the air flowing in to the intake cooler than the rest of the air within the engine bay.
Performance gains vary from vehicle to vehicle but a noticeable audible “growl” by the intakes’ open concept is evident as well as the smoother acceleration across the power band. The air intake uses an easy-to-maintain cone filter which requires an approximate annual cleaning and “recharging” with an air filter kit (not included).

Some carbon air intake kits contain 2 small divots done by the manufacturer for simple installation of the manufacturers badge logo. Installation of the badge is optional and the divots are not completely visible.
Bimmian's products are top-quality, however, due to the nature of carbon fiber and the difficulty and limitations of the manufacturing methods associated with its production, it is rarely possible to have a PERFECT item made from carbon fiber. During the quality inspection process, they reject any piece that has more than two minor defects per square foot of surface area. A minor defect may include, small wave or divot in the clear coat, small interruption in the carbon weave pattern, small gaps in between carbon threads, etc. Depending on the shape of the product, including sharp curves, angles, etc., it may be impossible to lay the carbon without distortion/interruption to the pattern. In this case, even though it may appear as if there is a flaw, it is actually part of the design and is present on every carbon fiber item. We will not be able to accept returns because of these minor defects.
